MISD Systems Development are solution providers as one of our many IT related duties. Our aim is to assist any organization by providing them with solutions to facilitate their various day-to-day tasks and transactions.

We listen to the client's requirements and work towards developing a solution customized to that client's needs.

We provide lifetime maintenance and support throughout the use of the products. Our services are reliable yet the cheapest rate in the country.

The Systems Development Section provides two types of services given by two units:


Systems Development Unit

The Systems Development Unit is responsible for projects from the initial feasibility study and analysis through program development, testing, documentation and user training. Expected to provide system support to various organisations.

  • Conduct a feasibility study.
  • Conduct analysis of existing systems and evaluate costs.
  • Design input and output documents.
  • Design computer files, procedures and controls.
  • Write programs using approved languages and programming standards.
  • Test systems.
  • Train staff of user organisations.
  • Provide system support to users.
The Systems Development Unit consists of Analyst Programmers sub-grouped into three teams: two teams work with personal computers and one with the AS/400 machines. These teams work to develop software for both Personal Computers and the IBM AS/400 machines.

 

System Support and Data Processing Unit

The System Support and Data Processing Unit provides software support services. Services provided are installation of software, detection/removal of viruses, computer diagnosis and troubleshooting as some of their numerous tasks. 

  • Installing and implementing Payroll programs and Personnel System, and other packages developed by Systems Development Section.

  • Detect/remove active viruses, guarding PCs against virus attacks. Recovering of data lost as a result of viruses.

  • Document recovery in various programs. Recovery of data due to corruption. 

  • Training clients in setting up their accounting system.

  • Advising clients on security/backups of data and programs.

  • Ensure that conditions of humidity and temperature as specified by the manufacturer are maintained wherever applicable.

  • Housekeeping e.g. deleting unwanted files, re-arranging them on disk by running various utilities.

The System Support and Data Processing Unit has one team consisting of System Support Officers.
