Organization Profile

MISD Systems Development Section existed as Computer Services Ltd., Information System and was the 1st ever to introduce computerized information systems to the government and various other organizations in the Seychelles. Among the first systems developed were the Payroll, Accounting and Utilities billing.

Systems Development Section is a section of the Management and Information Systems Division (MISD). MISD being a division in the Ministry of Information Technology and Communication.

As a solution and service provider, we have developed most of the computer systems installed in various leading public sector and private organizations in Seychelles.

Some of our respectable clients are:

• Development Bank of Seychelles (DBS)

• Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS)

• Ministry of Finance

• Ministry of Land Use and Habitat (MLUH)

• Ministry of Health (MOH)

Today, we continue to develop new systems, maintain existing systems, provide system support and user training to numerous organizations in the Seychelles. 

Mission Statement

To advise, provide and implement, first and foremost, all public sector organizations, then others, reliable, good quality, cost-effective and timely Information Technology services within flexible and affordable frameworks.

Objectives

• Plan and prepare specifications for the development of computer based management information systems and data flow across organizational boundaries.

• Establish standards for hardware, software and data structure.

• Analyse, design, develop, test and implement systems and provide system support.

• Prepare or assist in preparation of IT related procedures and policies for use in the public sector.

• Provide data processing services.

• Co-ordinate the management of national information system.

• Monitor and control the implementation of Government’s information systems policy.

• Design and modify systems and procedures for promoting efficiency in the management and working of public sector organizations.
